You're correct. It was an operator error. I read 6.66 MB as 6.66 GB. I have since discovered that there are two drives on the SanDisk and everything works fine. Thanks for the response though.

Well, with everything unplugged, and that includes any printer or multi-function machine you have, look down by the clock, and move your mouse over any icon in that area. Make sure there is definitely no Safely Remove Hardware icon.

Which uninstallation method should I prefer?... what's the difference between removing the U3 Launch Pad by using the uninstallation command from within the U3 Launch Pad itself, and removing the U3 Launch Pad by downloading the removal tool and using it for the removal?

U3 Launchpad is INTRUSIVE. When I bought these (3 in a package) I didn't sign up to buy a problem three times. I just finished reformatting a Cruzer micro 2 gig drive in a DOS window to get rid of the launchpad. All was well for a couple seconds. Now, there is somehthing hidden on my hard drive that automatically reinstalls Launchpad on my drive when I insert it. Why don't you come on over and knock on my door and sit down on my couch for as long as you want without being invited? It would be the same thing. There are those of us out there that just need a simple, non-invasive way to move files around without having the data police at SanDisk trying to protect us from ourselves. Please let me know now of a way to get the "I will install the U3 crap on any Cruzer that is inserted in any USB slot on this computer" program permanently removed from my hard drive. This whole U3 thing is like a VIRUS! Oh, by the way, if I try to use the removal tool, I get the error message "Launchpad Removal Program has stopped working". This is why I went the reformat in DOS route in the first place. The message says Windows will notify me if a solution is available. I am waiting now with baited breath....
