You ridiculous Barneys! Would you buy a car and then curse the manufacturer because they require you to use premium unleaded? If you didn't research what a U3 launchpad does, then the fault is YOURS NOT SANDISK! You typical nerd wannabees stroll through Costco and see 3 CRUZERS for a bargain price and buy them without any forethought. Just return your purchases and save this forum for people who have enough common sense to think before they buy and enough integrity to admit they didn't do the foot work before purchasing an item.

Considering the "venting" on this thread, it is easy to lose sight of the fact that many Sandisk customers are having SERIOUS problems with the U3 technology damaging either their PC &/or their data stored on the U3 flash drive. Give them some understanding. Having said that, I certainly shared Toodugs' reaction to some of the posts on this thread. Even though my Sandisk Cruzers (4, 8 & 16 Gb) have worked wonderfully, I also resent that the Sandisk did not live up to the U3 concept of leaving NO tracks behind. However, I do really want the U3 functionality & am dismayed that Sandisk, rather than improving it & offering models with it, has decided to discontinue it.
